2nd Annual Growl to Garden Beer Fest and Road Mile!
August 18 @ 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm
The Tap and Growler and Beergarden set to host the Second Annual Growl to Garden Beer Fest and Road Mile on Saturday, August 18th from 12-8 PM. The gun goes off at 4pm for the Road Mile. Eugene is a town that boasts a rich tradition in two major parts of its unique culture: running and craft beer. From hosting Olympic Trials and being awarded the 2021 World Track and Field Championships, to developing an extensive craft beer scene, Eugene has been at the center of it all. Growl to Garden Beer Fest and Road Mile celebrates the union of two cultures that help shape and define Eugene’s identity with an all day beer event, with live music and food and one of a kind road mile down 5th Avenue.
The Growl to Garden Beer Fest will be held in the abundant and blooming nursery at Gray’s Garden Center. The Fest includes over 20 purveyors of the areas finest craft beer, wine, and cider. There will be food provided by Moi Poki, Bounty Meat and Cheese and others. We will also have kombucha and soda available. In our signature fashion we are including music all day with all stars like Corwin Bolt and the Wingnuts and Etouffee. All of this with no cover charge!
The Road Mile will begin at 3:30pm near the corner of 5th Avenue and Pearl Street and travels along 5th Avenue, finishing near Adams Street. The event will provide various age group and ability races, as well as an elite race for the local men and women. There are significant prizes for the top three finishers of the Road Mile. Awards will be announced at the Beer Fest at Gray’s Garden Center.
